We are an independent game studio composed of college students in New York. Our members are mainly students from NYU, USC, Duke, and other universities, spanning interdisciplinary majors such as art, technology, music, creative writing, and design, and have participated in prestigious game design competitions. We take great pride in our passion for independent games and creative expression.

 

Ever since our founding in September 2021, we have started 5+ game projects , ranging from 2D platformers, and 3D puzzle games, to narrative horror games. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional game quality, and the three projects we’ve released have been well-received by both players and in competitions. In the coming years, we’ll continue to strive toward creating the most immersive game worlds and enriching gaming experiences for all! 

 

Here, you will meet a group of like-minded individuals with ingenious personalities, including soul-like enthusiasts, anime geeks, and fantasy connoisseurs. We hope that more gifted designers who love creative game-making will join this big family to craft unforgettable experiences for players.

Silverjay Studio's Title "Song of Maka" won the "Best Student Game Award" at the 2024 10th indiePlay China Independent Game Awards.

2024/11

Since its inception in 2015, the indiePlay China indie Game Awards has been the highest-quality independent game competition in China. It is organized by the China Independent Game Alliance (CiGA) and has received strong support from indienova, IGDA, UGDAP, and many industry media and international organizations. 

"Song of Maka" ranked 3rd place in the finals and won the "Best Student Game Award" at the 2024 10th indiePlay China Independent Game Awards.

Silverjay Studio's Title "Song of Maka" won the "Best Game Award" at the 2024 4th CUSGA China University Student Game Awards Competition.

2024/08

The 2024 CUSGA competition concluded successfully in Shanghai. A panel of judges, including several well-known game developers, gaming media figures, and content creators attended the event. They evaluated the shortlisted entries based on creativity, technology, gameplay, and other factors, offering feedback, guidance, and scores to determine the final winning projects.

"Song of Maka" stood out among over 500 participating games and more than 2,000 contestants, winning the competition's highest honor, the "Best Game Award."

"Song of Maka" was successfully showcased at the Shanghai ChinaJoy game demo and sharing event.

2024/07

“ChinaJoy · Game Gacha Party”, is an independent game networking event jointly organized by CiGA (China Independent Game Alliance) and UGDAP (University Game Developers Alliance).

At the event, "Song of Maka" held a demo session, attracting many indie game enthusiasts to engage and share experiences. We also gave a presentation introducing our studio and the project, announcing the game's release date set for the end of 2025.

"Song of Maka" Unveiled at NYU Game Center 2024 Spring Showcase

2024/05

At NYU's annual Game Design Spring Showcase, Silverjay Studio's project "Song of Maka" made its public debut. Players of all ages and professions attended the event to try out the game and provided valuable feedback.

The project received great appreciation from many professors and scholars. Furthermore, we were also able to connect with various publishers for future opportunities.

"Entangled" won Global Game Jam 2023 New York "Best Overall Game"

2023/02

This year's theme was "Root." During the 48-hour game jam, Silverjay Studio won the "Best Game Award" at the Global Game Jam New York site for the second time with their project "Entangled," earning a prize of $500.

​Many members of our team were participating in a Game Jam for the first time, so we believe this was an invaluable experience for them as well as a team bonding exercise.

"Re:Live" Won Global Game Jam 2022 New York "Best Overall Game"

2022/01

This year's theme was "Duality." During the 48-hour game jam, Silverjay Studio won the "Best Game Award" at the Global Game Jam New York site with their project "Re:Live".

 

"Re: Live" is Silverjay Studio's first publicly released project, and the success has been an enormous source of motivation for us.
